I started dieting when I was 10 years old.
Not because I wanted to. Because I was taught - like so many of us were - that my body was a problem to be solved. So I did what women do. I tried everything. Every diet, every system, every promise that this time would be different. Counting calories. Cutting carbs. Starting over on Monday. Trying harder.
I even tried surgery.
And still, the cycle continued. The cravings came back. The energy crashed. The weight crept back up. And every time it did, I blamed myself a little more.
For decades I believed the problem was me - my willpower, my discipline, my follow-through. It never occurred to me that the advice itself might be wrong.
When I finally understood what was happening inside my body - how blood sugar instability was driving my cravings, my energy crashes, my all-or-nothing thinking - everything changed.
Not because I found more willpower. Because I stopped fighting my body and started working with it.
I learned how to eat in a way that kept my blood sugar stable. I learned that the problem was never me. It was the approach.
And slowly, quietly - the cravings got quieter. The energy came back. The cycle started to break.
That shift changed my life. And it is the shift I want every woman I work with to experience.
In 2024 I became a Certified Health and Nutrition Coach - not because I needed a piece of paper to know this worked, but because I wanted the training to help others as deeply as possible.
Through The Freedom Journey, I work with women who are exhausted from trying. Women who have done everything right and still feel stuck. Women who are starting to wonder if something is wrong with them.
Nothing is wrong with them. The approach just has not fit their body, their brain, or their real life.
My coaching goes beyond food. We look at blood sugar, sleep, stress, hormones, mindset, and the deeper patterns that keep women stuck in cycles they desperately want to break. We build habits that actually fit real life - not a perfect version of it.
